Job Description:
· Responsible for inventory planning, scheduling and general management. Establish guidelines to review slow moving inventory items and eliminate dead stock, analyses results, prepares reports and makes decision as to the final disposition of these items.
· Organise, Lead, Plan and control the different Functions for instance, inventory control parameters, stock valuation, inventory deployment, inventory adjustments, criticality and pareto analysis, depreciation value and red off obsolete, redundant and excess materials.
· Periodically monitors the shelf-life items for their expiry date and incorporates the data in replenishment decisions.
· Closely works with the maintenance team for shut-down or major planned maintenance activities to ensure that the required spares are made available.
· Establishes and periodically revises the internal and external lead times in close coordination with the purchase team and based on statistical data.
· Conducts cycle counts and physical inventory verifications and reconciles inventory records in the system.
· Prepares advanced inventory forecast reports based on statistical data from the system.
· Reviews consumption and controls the replenishment of consumables and spare parts.
المهارات
Competencies & Experience required:
· Minimum 8 years experience in materials stock control environment with considerable exposure to materials inventory management systems.
· Deep understanding of Material Requirement Planning, Demand Forecasting Techniques and Long Term Planning.
· Strong analytical skills and understanding of statistical process control.
· Computer literacy and a good knowledge of standard office software, with knowledge of Oracle an advantage.
· Ability to collect, analyse and report inventory data using statistical techniques.
· Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline.
